Management and organization |
The Incorporated Management Committee is formed by the church, educators, parents, principals, teachers and well-known individuals outside the field of education. |
Teaching and learning |
We emphasize a pleasant and effective learning method to encourage students to have independent thinking skills. Supplemented by information technology teaching to enhance students' interest in learning, teachers are committed to implementing a project-based reading plan so as to enhance students’ self-learning ability. |
School spirit and student support |
We run in the spirit of Christ. Our priority is to deliver high quality teaching and learning whilst at the same time providing rich and truly enjoyable learning experiences for our students. There are religious and moral counseling groups in the school. A number of activities are held each year to encourage students to progress. There are also specialized social workers stationed in school. |
Academic and non-academic performance |
Students performed satisfactorily in academic performance. The average passing rate of the HKDSE was higher than the overall average in Hong Kong. We emphasize moral, intellectual, physical, social and aesthetic development of our students. We vigorously promote students' participation in various arts, civic education and social care activities, both inside and outside the school. Students are enthusiastic in their participation and the awards are rewarding. |
Language policy |
The school attaches great importance to the development of students being biliterate and trilingual. In accordance with the S1 to S3 language fine-tuning policy of the Education Bureau, some subjects are taught in English according to students’ English language proficiency. One class of each form S4-S6 of science electives is taught in English, meanwhile, we have supplementary classes to support students with different English abilities. |
Curriculum policy |
The "Student-oriented - teach students in accordance with their aptitude ", is the core value of the curriculum in our school. The course objectives of the whole school are also based on this principle. Curricula are tailored to meet the needs of students. The subjects of Religious Studies, Integrated Science, Chinese, Visual Arts and Liberal Studies are all school-based curriculum designed by our teachers. |
Catering for learner differences |
Regular classes and elite classes are set at all levels. The course objectives, teaching materials and assessment methods are determined by the students' abilities. In recent years, English supplementary classes and homework tutorial classes have been introduced after school to consolidate students’ knowledge and to assist students in different needs. |
Grade retention policy |
Students may be upgraded if they can meet the requirements. Underachievers may need to repeat the grade, so as to allow more time to catch up. |
