Subject objectives

Subject objectives:

1.      Foster the ability of listening, speaking and reading aloud in Putonghua. Putonghua is also a media to enhance students’ self-learning ability and increase their understanding in Chinese culture.

2.      Form one students: To raise their interest in learning and foster a positive attitude towards Putonghua. The curriculum focuses on consolidating the mastering of Hanyu Pinyin system, including the Shengmu(consonants) and Yunmu(phoneme).

3.      Form two students: We hope students can gain confidence in applying Putonghua in their daily life. The curriculum focuses on equipping students with listening skills and relevant language knowledge.

4.      Form three students: We hope students can master the usage of Putonghua in daily life. The curriculum focuses on oral training.
